Found, Wind Destroyer Of Galaxies

VIVAnews -infrared Observatory Herschel space courtesy of the European Space Agency (ESA) has detected wind movement of gas molecules that flow away from the Galaxy.

The wind that had been monitored for many years this was thought to have enough force to destroy the Galaxy composed of gas and stop the formation of stars early on.

These winds are detected Herschel is very remarkable. Some blowing very blustery winds, with speeds of more than 1000 kilometers per second. The wind was 10 thousand times faster compared to the storms that blow on the Earth.

"This is the first time the molecular gas flow as it could be observed clearly in a Galaxy," said Echard Sturm, researchers from the Max-Planck Institute, who chaired the research, as cited from Daily Galaxy, Wednesday, May 11, 2011.

These findings, said Sturm, is crucial because the stars are formed from molecular gas. While the flow of the wind steal Galactic property of materials needed to create new stars. "If hembusannya is strong enough, they can even stop the total formation of the stars," he said.

"With Herschel, now we can learn what the influence of the wind gusts to the evolution of galaxies," refer to Sturm.

From research, concluded that up to 1200 times the mass of the Sun we lost every year due to severe wind gusts. The amount is equal to the drainage of a tidal supplies gas galaxies to form stars between one and 100 million years into the future. Whereas, disruption of star formation has an adverse effect on the Galaxy.

The wind itself could be caused by spending on particles and a very intense light from a star is new or it could be by the shock wave from the explosion of old stars. Alternatively, the wind can be triggered by radiation exposure caused by substances that spun madly around a black hole, in the middle of the Galaxy. (eh)
