Last month, the SETI Institute announced that they would close their important efforts in the search for alien-i.e. a project worth 50 million US dollars, consisting of 42 parabolic telescope known as the Allen Telescope Array-due to lack of funds amounting to 5 million US dollars.
With the suspension of the parabola ATA, astronomers hope that the Green Bank Telescope advanced was encountered when the storm occurred in 1988 and will provide specific information about a planet that can potentially support life.
