Ini cerita dari temanku yang tinggal di Toraja satu kota kecil yang sangat indah dan penuh mistis di Indonesia. kota ini terletak di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan (sekitar 8 jam melalui jalur darat dr Makassar). Cerita ini sudah sangat sering terdengar, Jujur aku sih belum pernah melihatnya secara langsung. tapi cerita ini benar2 ada dan nyata.
"Sebagai orang Toraja asli, temanku (sumber) sangat sering ditanya oleh teman2nya tentang uniknya kebudayaan Tana toraja khususnya tentang fenomena mayat berjalan. Dia (sumber) sendiri lahir dan tumbuh besar di Tana Toraja sehingga dia mengetahui tentang adat & kebudayaan di Tana Toraja walaupun tidak sepenuhnya menguasai secara keseluruhan tentang asal usul dan segala macam hal mengenai adat Toraja.

Cerita mayat berjalan sudah ada sejak dahulu kala. ratusan tahun yang lalu konon terjadi perang saudara di Tana toraja yakni orang Toraja Barat berperang melawan orang Toraja Timur. dalam peperangan tersebut orang Toraja Barat kalah telak karena sebagian besar dari mereka tewas, tetapi pada saat akan pulang ke kampung mereka seluruh mayat orang Toraja Barat berjalan, sedangkan orang Toraja Timur walaupun hanya sedikit yang tewas tetapi mereka menggotong mayat saudara mereka yang mati, karena kejadian tersebut maka peperangan tersebut dianggap seri. pada keturunan selanjutnya orang-orang Toraja sering menguburkan mayatnya dengan cara mayat tersebut berjalan sendiri ke liang kuburnya.

Fenomena “Mayat berjalan” ini sendiri pernah disaksikan langsung oleh temanku (sumber). kejadian tersebut terjadi sekitar tahun 1992 (saat sumber baru kelas 3 SD). menurut dia, pada saat itu ada seorang bernama Pongbarrak yang ibunya meninggal. seperti adat orang Toraja sang mayat tidak langsung dikuburkan tetapi masih harus melalui prosesi adat penguburan (rambu solo’). saat itu setelah dimandikan mayat sang ibu diletakkan di tempat tidur dalam sebuah kamar khusus sebelum dimasukkan kedalam peti jenasah. pada malam ketiga seluruh keluarga berkumpul untuk membicarakan bagaimana prosesi pemakaman yang akan dilaksanakan nanti. saat itu temanku (sumber) duduk di teras rumah, maklum anak-anak jadi suka mondar mandir. namun setelah rapat selesai (sekitar jam 10 malam), tiba-tiba ada kegaduhan dalam rumah dimana beberapa ibu-ibu berteriak -teriak. karena penasaran temanku (sumber) melongok ke dalam rumah dan astaga "sang mayat berjalan keluar " dari dalam kamar, spontan saja temanku (sumber) bersama teman2nya berteriak histeris dan berlari menuruni tangga. Sumber berlari menuju ayahnya sambil histeris ketakutan. setelah itu temanku (sumber) pun langsung dibawa pulang kerumah oleh ayahnya dan dia tidak tahu apa yang terjadi selanjutnya. Keesokan harinya kejadian tersebut rupanya cukup heboh diperbincangkan oleh warga dan informasi yang dia dengar bahwa Pongbarrak yang melakukan hal tersebut. konon dia iseng aja untuk membuat lelucon pada malam itu.

Pada zaman sekarang sudah sangat jarang orang Toraja yang mempraktekkan hal tersebut walaupun masih banyak generasi yang memiliki ilmu seperti itu. akan tetapi mereka masih sering mempraktekkannya pada binatang seperti ayam atau kerbau yang diadu dalam keadaan leher terputus. Binatang seperti kerbau yang sudah dipotong kepalanya dan dikuliti habispun, masih bisa dibuat berdiri dan berlari kencang, mengamuk kesana sini!

Gunung Lalakon di Kabupaten Bandung kini jadi perbincangan hangat. Kelompok Turangga Seta meyakini jika di bawah gunung itu terdapat piramida seperti di Mesir. Dulu mah sering ada yang datang untuk ziarah atau pesugihan," tuturnya ditemui di rumahnya yang berada di kaki Gunung Lalakon, Rabu sore (27/7/2011).

Namun setelah tidak ada lagi kuncen di gunung itu, sudah jarang ia temui peziarah yang sengaja datang. "Terakhir kuncen ayah saya, tapi meninggal. Kakek saya juga kuncen. Kalau saya mah bukan," tuturnya.

Anggapan angker juga dilontarkan Ketua RW 15 Desa Jelegong Zakir (36). Menurutnya dulu sering pendaki di Gunung Lalakon kesurupan. "Ya mungkin karena suka dijadikan pesugihan. Apalagi di sebelah barat gunung, di sana kalau kata leluhur ada Buta Hejo, Iprit," jelasnya.

Menurutnya di puncak gunung, ada tiga makam yang tidak diketahui asal usulnya. "Sejak zaman sesepuh dulu, tiga makam itu sudah ada. Enggak tahu itu makam siapa," tuturnya.

"Ya katanya tinggal bawa segenggam tanah di sekitar batu itu lalu disimpan di kandang ternak kita," tuturnya.

Gunung Lalakon berada sekitar 40 kilometer lebih dari pusat kota Bandung. Jika sudah mencapai Stadion Si Jalak Harupat, hanya sekitar 2 kilometer lagi menuju kaki gunung.
