Yorkshire Terrier Puppy Dogs

These Little Yorkshire Puppy Dogs are sisters and they are rarely ever apart for very long. One is about 3 times larger than the other.  They keep each other warm at night while sleeping and they love to play together.
                                                                     Sarah Palin
This watercolor painting of Sarah Palin is the first of a series I will be doing of "Great Americans" who I believe truly love America and have all of our best interests at heart.  I painted the American Flag behind her representing her character.

When I saw this at The Botanical Gardens, I knew I would have make a painting of a clematis flower. I like anything purple so this painting was enjoyable to paint.

The Clematis is considered among the most beautiful and popular of all garden plants. To see one in full bloom is to fall in love with its splendor. Those who have known its beauty will appreciate an artist original pictures, paintings and artwork depicting the clematis.

In the 19th century, exquisite Oriental species of clematis were sent to Europe which started widespread breeding leading to the introduction of hundreds of new varieties. Surprisingly, the aristocrat of the clematis family, a startling red clematis, was introduced to Europe from Texas.

There are three groups of clematis. The “no prune” group, “light prune” group, and the “hardy pruning” group. The magnificent colors of the clematis make for colorful paintings that many would prize on their wall. Those who favor red, pink, blue or purple are especially in for a real treat for the eyes.
