Calm down
Deep breaths
And get yourself dressed instead
Of running around
And pulling on your threads
And breaking yourself up

If it's a broken part, replace it
If it's a broken arm, then brace it
If it's a broken heart, then face it

And hold your own
Know your name
And go your own way
Hold your own
Know your name
And go your own way

And everything will be fine

Hang on
Help is on the way
And stay strong
I'm doing everything

Hold your own
Know your name
And go your own way
Hold your own
Know your name
And go your own way

And everything, everything will be fine
Everything

Are the details in the fabric
Are the things that make you panic
Are your thoughts results of static cling?

Are the things that make you blow
Hell, no reason, go on and scream
If you're shocked it's just the fault
Of faulty manufacturing.

Everything will be fine
Everything in no time at all
Everything

Hold your own
And know your name
And go your own way

Are the details in the fabric (Hold your own, know your name)
Are the things that make you panic
Are your thoughts results of static cling? (Go your own way)

Are the details in the fabric (Hold your own, know your name)
Are the things that make you panic (Go your own way)
Is it Mother Nature's sewing machine?

Are the things that make you blow (Hold your own, know your name)
Hell no reason go on and scream
If you're shocked it's just the fault (Go your own way)
Of faulty manufacturing

Everything will be fine
Everything in no time at all
Hearts will hold

Jason Mraz featuring James Morrison
What comes to your mind when listening to a song without ever recognizing the lyrics before, purely from the sounds and the ambiance it creates? Is it a hard feeling, a good one, or what? This song draws a series of scenes on my mind where I'm the main actress, playing the character of a successful woman living in a big city (why does New York always pop in the first place?), having a great day at work and coming back home to meet the loved one then enjoying the rest of night somewhere beautiful, fun, interesting.

Hey, Hey, Hey, Woman, it's alright.
Hey, Hey, Hey, Woman, it's alright.

In my dreams I'm dying all the time
When I wake its kaleidoscopic mind
I never meant to hurt you
I never meant to lie
So this is goodbye
This is goodbye

Hey, Hey, Hey, Woman, it's alright.
Hey, Hey, Hey, Woman, it's alright.

Tell the truth you never wanted me

Tell me...

In my dreams I'm jealous all the time
Then I wake I'm going out of my mind
Going out of my mind

Hey, Hey, Hey, Woman, it's alright.(x4)

If you listen carefully, my imagination is different from the lyrics. But it's fine anyway. Try yours :)

No I'm not color blind
I know the world is black and white
Try to keep an open mind but...
I just can't sleep on this tonight
Stop this train I want to get off and go home again
I can't take the speed it's moving in
I know I can't
But honestly won't someone stop this train

Don't know how else to say it, don't want to see my parents go
One generation's length away
From fighting life out on my own

Stop this train
I want to get off and go home again
I can't take the speed it's moving in
I know I can't but honestly won't someone stop this train

So scared of getting older
I'm only good at being young
So I play the numbers game to find away to say that life has just begun
Had a talk with my old man
Said help me understand
He said turn 68, you'll renegotiate
Don't stop this train
Don't for a minute change the place you're in
Don't think I couldn't ever understand
I tried my hand
John, honestly we'll never stop this train

See once in a while when it's good
It'll feel like it should
And they're all still around
And you're still safe and sound
And you don't miss a thing
'til you cry when you're driving away in the dark.

Singing stop this train I want to get off and go home again
I can't take this speed it's moving in
I know I can't
Cause now I see I'll never stop this train

As we're on the edge of 2010, some memories appear on my mind, force me to reconsider the some plans for upcoming year. What disturbs me is to acknowledge that time flies, so fast. Ten years ago, the early part of millennium year, then years of my secondary school, moments of my high school, and now the college life. Yes it's life whose time can't be played back, no matter how hard you try, no matter how hard you avoid the fact that you're going to leave your adolescence real soon. Close your eyes and suddenly it's 2011. However, see you in another life chapter.

Cause now I see I'll never stop this train.

Why do birds suddenly appear
Every time you are near?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you

I'd never heard "Bengawan Solo" before but I once had an eagerness to listen to this song when its composer, Gesang Martohartono, passed away couple weeks ago. Then, I searched the song, listened to it, and was not interested hehe. I guess it was because of the genre which wasn't familiar.
But then I found the Lisa Ono's version. And it sounds really really nice. Moreover, the lyrics is in Indonesian, not the English translation. Click here to listen.
Bengawan Solo is widely renowned. Its original genre is keroncong. The cool fact is the song has been rearranged into other genres by various artists throughout the world. And it's claimed as the best known of all Indonesia songs. Great!

Bengawan Solo

Riwayatmu ini

Sedari dulu jadi...

Perhatian insani

Musim kemarau
Tak seberapa airmu
Dimusim hujan air..
Meluap sampai jauh

Mata airmu dari Solo
Terkurung gunung seribu
Air meluap sampai jauh
Dan akhirnya ke laut

Itu perahu
Riwayatnya dulu
Kaum pedagang selalu...
Naik itu perahu
