David Cook, the winner of Season 7 of American Idol returned to American Idol on Thursday night to sing a song from his new album This Loud Morning. Performing ‘The Last Goodbye’ the Idol winner once again showed exactly what happens once the final contestant is crowned the winner.
On stage with the band that had four guitar players, Cook also played the guitar, and shared some of the responsibility of the strong guitar presence in the number. Partaking what is the big kick off of the album, he hoped to bring out the wallets from his supporters as well as those who support the show.
David Cook didn’t come along tonight as he brought his mom for support and to meet someone she loved, Steven Tyler. After a brief hug and a chance to meet the legend, the focus of the night returned to the contestants who were waiting to hear their fate on the show and the performance of Katy Perry’s new song E.T.
The final song of the night was for Stefano Langone who received the least number of votes for the evening and ended up being eliminated from American Idol.
