Bubble Trolls is a physic based arcade game where the player must use ripples to help a troll riding in a bubble taxi reach his home under the bridge. Along the way the player must avoid various obstacles including fish, rocks, turtles, gators, logs, rapids, whirlpools, and frogs that are out to pop the bubble and drown the troll.
How to Play (the 10 commandments of Bubble Trolls):
Bubble Trolls is simple to play but difficult to master. Follow the basic rules below:
1. Trolls hate you and you must work very hard not to kill, drown or otherwise upset the troll.
2. Tap the water to make ripples that will push the bubble taxi in the direction you wish to go.
3. DON’T TOUCH THE BUBBLE TAXI! It will pop and you will upset the troll.
4. If the bubble taxi starts to turn red and you hear the troll complaining after rapid tapping, let the bubble taxi cool off by not tapping for a bit. If you don’t, it will pop and you will upset the troll.
5. If the troll complains, you are doing something wrong or he is in danger. Trolls hate this.
6. Float Bubble is a power up that will allow your bubble taxi to briefly fly. It looks like a butterfly in the water. While floating, tilt your device in the direction you want to go and make sure your landing zone is clear of obstacles and critters. Landing on obstacles will pop the bubble and you will upset the troll.
7. Tough Bubble is a power up that makes the bubble super strong. It looks like a red and white life preserver in the water. After picking up the life preserver tap like crazy to make as much distance as possible. It will flash red before wearing off and you will be back to normal. Make sure you are in a safe place to avoid popping the bubble and upsetting the troll.
8. Sometimes you may accidentally strand a troll on a rock or log. Trolls hate this. If it happens, your bubble taxi can accommodate a maximum of 2 trolls. As you approach a stranded troll, tap the stranded troll and maneuver your bubble taxi close to the stranded troll. He will jump in automatically. Sudden changes in direction will cause the stranded troll to miss the bubble and drown. Trolls hate this. The double troll bubble taxi is larger and weaker so be careful while navigating. You will receive extra points for completing a course with two trolls.
9. Scattered around the course are hams. Trolls love ham. Picking these up is about the only thing you can do to make the troll happy. Additionally, you will get extra points for collecting all hams.
10. The bubble taxi will dock automatically as you get close to the bridge. You will notice that you no longer have control of the bubble taxi as you get close to the shore of the bridge. This is normal and it makes the troll happy.
Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 3.1.3 or later
